We've expanding our reputation system (not included the ability to downvote posts), added a ranking system, and upgraded the sidebar on our forums home page. Some of these improvements are covered in the DevBlog linked below.
In addition, to the improvements covered in the Blog Post, we've implemented an experimental 'NLD Points' system, which allows members to earn points for things on the forums, and then use those points to purchase things like the ability to pin a topic of their choosing, or upgrade their usergroup.
