@SaltyKoalaBear  is this the tactical Halo siege game you wanted? Note who’s taken over development

Lawl, fuck no. I just have a really good eye for nuance and subtly so I love maps that demand the same out of players. Tightly scaled maps in H5 punish sloppy careless movement and use of abilities so they are my jam.

Yes I stole it and tried to pass it off as my own.  I knew posting it here I'd be safe from people copy pasting it into Google.

Well you're not wrong. Just unlucky I look at YouTube trending from time to time. Was like... Hmmm that yup that's me seems familiar.

They are your jam, even though you're an amature tactical parcourist yourself. 1.png.9758281a44d94aca61305f285a103614.png

I made this in a little less than an hour this morning so a lot of the shapes aren’t right and it’s sloppy but I always wanted a space like this for a map where there is one huge light pocket illuminating your screen but the light barely reaches the map and it’s just dark and lurky. There would be enough light to just reach a main structural element on the map of some ancient ruin and give off some ambient light elsewhere. There would be lots of tiers and terrain slopes, sharp shapes coming down from the ceiling acting as directional cover and blocking certain sight lines. There would be overhanging shapes to provide a lot of weight emotionally and the map would have several deep pockets running out of the atrium both on the horizontal  and vertical axis to really make the place feel huge and expansive. It should feel like you’re just getting started to a huge exploration journey. There would be structures ruins where function would be needed. I have a loose idea for a layout in my head.

Run on rant over

Halo 5 fog is really good for stuff like this. Better than a lot of fog in other games honestly

its like halo 3 is getting the old school runescape treatment... JUST KEEP IT THE SAME THING, THATS WHY ITS STILL GOOD, STOP TOUCHING IT

You noticed? You weren’t supposed to... that’s ok though, our accountants told us that the 13-and-under demographic we’re expecting to get at least a few million of sales with won’t notice because they never played the originals and therefore the originals never happened.
