  1. Bottom mid almost donezo, texturing up. Disregard the stretched UV on the treeeee. AAAAND I Got the h3 decals working. I had to frankenstein the texture to make it work. Two of the same textures but swapping channels and inverted the texture using photopea to get the right effects... Now I can do the same frankenstein thing for the tree canopy and make that work as intended. decals work.mp4

  2. i was really nervous but had a great time, the wedding was great, but we lost our husky at the end of the night as i was taking him to the car i was drunk and he slipped out of his harness, he booked it so fast outta there lmao And here's me crying like a little bitch,lol , i didn't think i was going to cry but it was all pretty emotional

I wish there was a script in this game to enable/disable fog settings This is the outside vibe I want, (name is the black dunes) but then my interiors flood with near fog (not a core map) Inside with no near fog vs near fog the last one is near fog on and it brightens all the interiors when they are supposed to be near pitch dark (none of the lighting is actually done yet) and if I disable near fog then the outside becomes more bleh to me (Below) meuahhhhhhhhh halo Infinite

  9. My newest puzzle map ICO I'm working on, inspired by, yes, you guessed it, ICO. One player with stronger traits plays as the Guardian trying to save the Princess and get her out of the castle, the other player with weaker traits, but magical powers, plays as the Princess.

  18. They've already explained that this isn't how it works. Currently the engine sees an asset, and loads all it's triangles. Whether or not they're on screen, or whether or not you even have enough pixels to see all the triangles (you usually don't) they will all be rendered. So you could have billions of polygons on screen being rendered by the GPU but if you're on a 1920x1080 screen, then you're really only seeing 1920x1080 triangles. This is how every engine currently works. From what I understand about how UE5 works is that it casts a ray trace from every screen pixel to check what you should see on that specific pixel, so there's no wasted rendering. So the cost of a 4k resolution is the same every single time, even with billions of polygons, because it's just checking for 3840 x 2160 triangles every single frame, no matter what's actually there or not. Same cost.

    Instead of doing anything productive I made grass and the ferns on my tree sway, and tried to figure out why Bungie's textures don't work properly. If it's a mask chances are it won't work during export or I'm just plugging it into the material editor wrong. Because I cannot for the life of me get the guardian stains to work, or the tree canopy. It only LOOKS like it works because I matched the tree color to the fog color... Those white bits between the tree leaves shouldn't be there, but they are... Bungo plz and it's weird considering I got the other canopy mask to work, which you can see out the outside of the canopy. The way it's a messy cutout... This one works This don't I got Fog looking okay, it's a little too bright at the top.

    So basically this stupid blue room has been bothering me to no end. there's only one exit (well two I guess depending where you enter) so you either leave or enter through the exit. I put "fusion coils" in there to force you to move, but it's not enough. That had to change. It's been fucking with my ability to continue the map. So I added a doorway to the cooling "duct" I guess you would call it. Heavily inspired by ripped that drop down on Epitaph

  30. I really loved the venue and photographer, i can tell she really loved what she does, had an eye for framing and lighting, i haven't even shared some of the best pictures. I'm also really proud of kierstyn, she planned out the entire event, and kept the budget under 5000, for how beautiful and perfect everything turned out, thats not that much

    problem. it started at like 83mb, then went to like 63, then 48, now its here... NOW ITS EVEN LOWER at 251.39kb... is it like per person? am I running out of cloud storage for my posts? do you guys have more cloud storage than me? it actually sounds like you could make it into a useful mechanic. we each get a set amount of posts here a week and if we dont use those posts to show off our Work in progress, we lose it. And if we use those posts to post shitposts, time spent even better. /s joke of course.

  34. FYI, we will be testing out some changes to the sites appearance and structure over the coming months. So don't freak out if/when you see things changing. Some of the things being discussed: removal of the chatbox and the article slider on the main forums index. Reorganization of the forum structure (ie: creating, deleting, combining, renaming forums and subforums). We are always open to feedback and suggestions (though I obviously can't guarantee we will act on all suggestions, they will certainly be given consideration), so feel free at any time to let us know what you think about the changes, or what you'd like to see.

To me this video did show off the SHEER power of the new tech that most videos didn't. @Soldat Du Christ So the demo Epic gives you to fly around is EXTREMELY BIG(I am talking GTA BIG) and the map can scale even larger with EXTREMELY HIGH DETAIL. Now its in early testing of course. So depending on your PC setup it can run kinda MEH. But I have seen the demo run on a good computer also and it is smooth

  38. An IGN video doesn't do it justice. I found this hidden gem on YT a few weeks ago with just a few thousand views, which directly inspired me to start a puzzle map around the game: 1:20 hours, but fully worth it. Design-wise aswell.

  39. It's pretty crazy how these megascans manage to blend so well into eachother. 🤔 what if halo infinite has megascans in forge even the lowest LOD version doesn't look too bad, but it loses the shadows and depth.

  43. Don't forget that the shield recharge delay is started at the last tick of damage, so it's 16 seconds total, not 10. This is literally just the shield drain but attached to someone, so there isn't much you can do about it: either endure its duration and avoid conflict, be smart with geometry and weapon choice to fight against your opponent while obscured from their line of sight, or book it for a health pack. You only have 3 distinct options due to how it is attached to the player, and forcing the player to use a health pack removes one of those options (the most cowardly option, I'll admit), lowering that down to 2 options: Kill and heal later, or heal now. This is a bit more of a forceful debuff of a player, so I don't know how annoying fighting against this grenade/weapon/equipment would be, but this is what I would go with for initial testing purposes: - 12 second tick duration (add 6 seconds for shield recharge delay, 18 seconds total) - thrown equipment with a similar velocity and arch to throwing knives in other FPS games, requiring direct impact - doesn't immediately remove shields, instead doing a flat 5 damage 10 times a seconds - if a piece of geometry is deliberately exposed metal, deal same damage to players on said surface when this is attached I feel that this design helps bring more utility to this tool in that it both functions as a way to zone and harshly limit the other player's options. This allows for in the moment and preemptive decisions to work for this weapon. This all assumes that the TTK of the game is still over a second (ugh), so take this with a grain of salt.
